Born in Brazil, Diego Felix Dos Santos is an agent of change, intellectually curious, and considers himself "a citizen of the world" after traveling and living in many places in South America, Oceania, and Europe.
Throughout his career, Diego has had the opportunity to work with big brands like Chanel, Gucci, Apple Inc, and Amazon making him a subject matter expert in retail/merchant acceptance. Diego has also co-founded a start-up that offered a cloud-based POS solution to small businesses in Brazil.
Diego has had many roles in product and sales management giving him wide-ranging experience in building teams, setting the vision, building meaningful partnerships, launching, and scaling products in multiple markets.
His passion for innovation and culture led him to pursue a master’s in science at the University of Strathclyde where he now teaches classes as a guest lecturer on negotiation across cultures.
When he joined Mastercard, Diego was responsible for implementing strategies for the payment gateway solution that tapped into local payments unlocking new flows, including open banking payments in the UK.
Presently, Diego is leading a high-performance product team at Mastercard refreshing the strategy to establish and grow Pay by Bank as a new account-to-account payment ecosystem in the UK and beyond
